Stairlift repairs generally take no longer than 1-2 hours to carry out. Sometimes if the issue at hand is major then the time can increase dramatically. 95% of all repairs we carry out usually get completed within 1-2 hours.
Batteries and faulty micro switches can be the two leading causes of a stairlift to break down. Alongside this, other issues can include debris that have gotten into the carriage of the stairlift by means of objects falling down onto the rail.
Some items we have had to remove from stairlifts include:
- Ping Pong Balls
- Kitchen Knife
- Toy Cars
- Food
- Scarves
We won’t go further than that list above, but we’ve seen it all!
There’s not really an easy way of calculating cost but there is a call out fee and labour for any repair services. Some parts like switches range from €30 up to full motors spanning hundreds of euros. Each product is different and we ALWAYS try to ensure our prices are as competitive as possible.
