Is there any maintenance after getting a stairlift?2019-01-26T19:48:02+00:00

Like anything else in your home it’s recommended to clean it down with a slightly damp cloth once a month. Apart from this it is also highly recommended that you get your stairlift serviced each year by a trained engineer.

How soon can you fit a stairlift?2019-01-26T19:49:32+00:00

For new and reconditioned straight stairlifts, we can usually have it installed within a few days of you going ahead with it. For curved stairlifts it can take up to 2 weeks as we will have to prepare it for your exact staircase design.

What if there is a door at the end of my stairs?2019-01-26T19:50:48+00:00

When it’s the case that there’s a door at the end of your stairs that essentially the stairlift would block once it was installed – then we’d recommend a hinge rail. This costs more money but it means the rail would fold away from the door when the stairlift is not in use.

Does the stairlift fit to the wall?2019-01-26T19:51:29+00:00

No, all stairlifts are fitted directly onto the stairs and this is much safer and stronger versus mounting it from a wall.
